Refreshing and toning
Sweet wild orange oil has a cheerfully sweet scent that immediately lifts the spirits and a delicious flavour in products designed to be used on the lips. On the skin, this oil is known to be toning and astringent, leaving the skin looking plumped and refreshed.
Description
Thought to be native to China and the Far East, the sweet orange is a flowering tree with glossy, evergreen leaves and thorny branches. The orange-coloured fruits it grows are called hesperidium, a modified type of berry with a thick, waxy rind that protects the juicy flesh inside.
Aromatherapists often use sweet wild orange oil to refresh the mind and brighten the senses because of the oil’s uplifting, cheerful fragrance. Because of this, it has also been used to combat depression and boost the immune system, particularly in the darker winter months.
This oil is produced in the USA where it is cold-pressed from the fruit’s peel.
